Singer-songwriter Darden Smith will release his first book, “The Habit of Noticing: Using Creativity to Make a Life (and a Living)” September 2018. With a combination of songs, stories and images from the book, Smith will be performing a show that brings the tales to life.
After more than thirty years in the music business, Smith has learned a few things about navigating the ups and downs of being a working artist. In “The Habit of Noticing,” he brings together tales of his personal ups and downs, lessons he has (and hasn’t) taken to heart, people he has met along the road and the bits of wisdom they passed his way. Onstage, Smith will combine readings with inspired songs from his fifteen albums, ranging from 2017’s “Everything,” back to “Native Soil,” his first release in 1986.
