The first time I heard Kyla Silk, it was a song that I stumbled upon after looking around at some of musicians coming out of the College of St. Rose scene. Her vocal stylings were this crazy good mix of jazz, R&B and pop. Her musical lines were very complicated, and yet seemed so natural and easy to follow along.
Since that time, Kyla has continued to impress me. Now, she's starting out to create her business, and she wants to include all her musical friends.
