Roberta Lea was working her 9 to 5 job, and felt the pull of music. Finally, she gave in and quit that job, taking the leap to music as her full time pursuit. An EP in 2021 ("Just a Taste") and her debut full length in 2023 - "Too Much of a Woman."
As Roberta writes on her bandcamp page: "Too Much Of A Woman" is about owning our strength and vulnerability. It's about taking up space in a world that tells us to keep our place. To not be afraid of our thick skin and soft nature and embracing everything that makes us human."
Roberta is part of the Black Opry and loves making appearances with that project. She'll be coming to play in Cambridge at the Depot on April 21.
