Matt Steckler is a renowned Local 518 jazz musician who has been making waves in the community and throughout the northeast for the past 20 years or so. We've known him as "Matty Stecks," as an RPI professor and an all-around great jazz musician.
His latest project is one with some "old friends." He has teamed up with Yayoi Ikawa, Lonnie Plaxico and Tony Lewis for "Old Friends Beckoned New Sounds Reckoned." The quartet will find its way to Caffe Lena for an album release show on January 11th.
