Annie Scherer grew up in the region, graduated from the College of St. Rose and is now setting down musicial roots in Nashville. Her debut album Garden Bed was released in 2021, earning Scherer the award for Best Performer in the Capital Region by the Times Union- merging her love of rock ‘n roll classics with her passion for alternative music with evocative lyrics and haunting melodies, creating her own unique sound.
Scherer’s most recent release, “My Mind” is her first since relocating to Nashville and is just a sample of more great music to come. The alt pop artist is currently hard at work with several more singles in production that she eventually hopes will come together in one cohesive project. These new songs explore heavier rock elements and draw upon inspiration from other female musicians like, Sky Ferreira, Lana Del Rey, and Phoebe Bridgers.
