Prog rock legend and guitar ace Steve Hackett was the lead guitarist in Genesis from 1971 to 1977, alongside Tony Banks, Mike Rutherford, Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel before leaving to pursue a highly successful solo career, releasing over 30 albums in the rock, blues and classical genres. He’s worked alongside Steve Howe of YES in the supergroup GTR and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010.
Hackett contributed to six Genesis albums, three live albums, seven singles, and one EP before his split with the band. And is revisiting his stellar work with the group with “Genesis Revisited: Foxtrot at Fifty + Hackett Highlights Tour” this fall, performing the landmark 1972 Genesis album, Foxtrot in its entirety, plus fan favorites – October 10th at The Egg in Albany.
