3 days of camping, music and art; FreshGrass Festival returns to MassMoCA in North Adams, Massachusetts to celebrate new and innovative music. Each year some of the biggest folk musicians gather in the Berkshires along with emerging artists to share their new and uplifting tunes with fans.
This year's lineup includes, Dropkick Murphys, Lukas Nelson + POTR, Sierra Ferrell, Rhiannon Giddens, and many other fantastic artists. Along with these main performances there are workshops, live scorings of silent films, the annual FreshGrass Awards, local food, spirits, and so much more. The 2023 FreshGrass awards will feature the bands, The Wildwoods, The Cahaba Roots, The Ruta Beggars, all competing for their chance a various cash prizes and a recording session with Compass Records. Also given out are awards for solo guitar, banjo, and fiddle players.
