Thursday, October 18 at the Cohoes Music Hall from 7:30-9:30pm.
Michael Gregg and Zan Strumfeld are hosting an evening of music centered around the interesting and often macabre history of the Capital Region. After digging through the archives at the Troy Public Library, we found a number of articles on crimes, murders and strange occurrences that have happened in the city (pre 1940). We asked a handful of local musicians to choose a story and write an original ballad. This is a follow up show to our sold-out, super successful evening at Little Pecks in November 2019.
Local musicians take the stage for an evening of music centered around the eerie and often macabre history of the Capital Region. For one unique evening, come witness the debut of original murder ballads and the chilling true tales behind their song. Featuring Girl Blue + Jimi W., Drank the Gold, Belle-Skinner, Dylan Perrillo, Eric-jon Tasker, Brule County Bad Boys (Lite), and more. Plus, a few words from the Cohoes Historical Society on the spooky history behind the Music Hall. Hosted (with performances) by Zan Strumfeld and Michael Gregg (of Zan & The Winter Folk).
