Tumo-Kohrs is the creative partnership between Mark "Tumo" Tuomenoksa and Sarah Kohrs.
He was schooled at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music and became a biomedical engineer and neuroscientist. She received a scholarship and attended Eastman School of Music. Then earned a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and became a practicing attorney.
The power of music brought them together more than two years ago at an open mic night in Great Barrington, Massachusetts.
The two have became friends and collaborators; writing, recording and performing together. And Sarah's catalogue of original songs has grown into the hundreds. Her style has blossomed into something reminiscent of Joni Mitchell, but with a jazz edge and the country flare of her roots in rural New York.
Tumo-Kohrs has just recorded their first EP and will be released mid-February.
