On January 3rd, 2011, KTG walked through the doors of WMHT. She came to work for the station as the person who would take care of the back office administrative work that would support what we do on the air on WMHT-FM and WEXT-FM. As she was starting, we learned she had been a DJ for a station like WEXT before. That was when we presented to her the opportunity to be the evening DJ for Exit 97.7, WEXT.
Over the years, we've been very lucky to have KTG as a companion on the radio. In her recent role, she's been our constant companion while we get our work done each day. Her fun, ebullient style, and her knowledge of the music and musicians has shone through. We've loved her passion when interviewing artists like The Wood Brothers, Hurray For the Riff Raff, The Stray Birds and others has been great! Her love of the Local 518 with artists like The North & South Dakotas, Sean Rowe, The Sea The Sea and others has been wonderful.
And now... KTG is leaving us. She's returning to her home state of West Virginia, and we wish her well. She's so great! We know that she'll do just wonderful things in her new role as part of the morning show experience at WINC in Winchester, VA.
Keep rockin', KTG! Below, you can hear her appearance on the final break of Dave's show today (9/27), on Chris Wienk's show from as she was heading out the door around 445pm. Plus, we've included KTG's final break from her own show today.
Thank you, KTG!!
And now, KTG's last break on WEXT. It's not her final one though. She has promised to come back for My Exits, and more. Phew!
Oh, and if you ever feel the need to hear KTG's voice as the promos she's voiced disappear from the air over time, just click on our online stream. That's her with the welcoming credit to the online stream. Thanks, KTG!
