Paul Thorn's Double Wide Paradise is a special web series on Exit 97.7, WEXT's website.
Before he was a professional musician, Paul Thorn was a professional boxer ranked 29th in the world. In 1988 he had the biggest fight of his career, fighting one of the greatest of all time, Roberto Duran in Atlantic City in front of 10,000 people.
The fight went 6 rounds. Both fighters were cut, Paul was cut worse, and the referee called the fight, Duran got the win. The fight paid enough to pay off Paul's his trailer back home in Tupelo. Fun fact, both fighters went to the hospital in the same ambulance.
