BalletX: The Four Seasons Reimagined is an epic, immersive contemporary ballet production created by Philadelphia's premier contemporary ballet company, BalletX. On June 11th at SPAC BalletX reimagines Antonio Vivaldi's classic score with an original, live electronic composition by Dan Deacon and is brought to life through visionary choreography representing Mother Nature in all her beauty and volatility.
The production breaks boundaries by bringing together four different contemporary choreographers to interpret the seasonal cycle:
Spring: Choreographed by Trey McIntyre
Summer: Choreographed by Morgann Runacre-Temple
Fall: Choreographed by Penny Saunders
Winter: Choreographed by Jamar RobertsKey
Electronic music innovator Dan Deacon performs his bold original score live on stage with a nine-piece band.
The production features visually arresting costumes and scenic design by Emma Kingsbury, paired with evocative lighting by Christopher Ash.
