The "Battenkill Runs Through It" Festival Returns Memorial Day Weekend

The Battenkill Runs Through It River Festival returns on Saturday, May 28th, at the newly named Battenkill Riverfront Park, just north of the village of Greenwich, New York on route 29. The community supported, family friendly environmental festival kicks off the summer season on the banks of the Battenkill and celebrates one of the largest public parks along the river's banks.

Presented by The Battenkill Conservancy, this free, family event starts at noon with canoe and kayak rides, fly fishing demonstrations, a scavenger hunt, the River Watch Discovery Program’s popular “picky bug table,” and more! Plus, the Salem Boy Scouts chicken bar-b-que, delicious food and desserts from area restaurants and local food purveyors. AND live music from George Wilson, and HEARD!

WEXT's Joyce Jackey is this year's Master of Ceremonies.
