The Legal Aid Society of Northeastern New York (LASNNY) is pleased to announce the opening of its picturingJUSTICE ™ exhibition on June 14th at 4-8pm at LASNNY’S 95 Central Avenue office in Albany.
The event is the debut of the community photographic exhibition reflecting what justice meansto each of the artists on the themes of housing, racial justice, poverty, fair housing, domesticviolence, education, food insecurity, LGBTQ+, family, and/or other civil legal issues. Artists willbe in attendance to present brief talks about their work. Up to ten artists will be featured basedon a juried open call for entries.
“picturingJUSTICE ™ seeks to connect our legal work to the people and communities we serveand to open conversations about justice,” said LASNNY Executive Director, Nic Rangel. “Weare excited to see what creative interpretations the artists in our region will come up with for thisExhibition.”
The reception is also open to honorary committee members that are interested in supporting theexhibition and the related themes embraced by LASNNY’s mission.
