Listen: At Home Live At EXT - George Thorogood
At Home Live@EXT w/George Thorogood
Blues rock icon George Thorogood is calling from... somewhere. "Confined to 'Thorogood headquarters'. But I'm used to solitary confinement," he says. "They don't let Thorogood roam the streets to much." Despite in 2020 having to, as he states, "put my routine as an international sex symbol on hold," Thorogood has been keeping himself busy - plotting and planning his future.
He's happy to talk about the latest George Thorogood and the Destroyers' release, Live in Boston, 1982. First released in 2010, the reissue has been expanded to include all of the songs that the band performed, along with Thorogood's genial between-song banter.
Even after 45+ years of making music, Thorogood shows no signs of slowing down.
In this At Home Live@EXT session, Thorogood takes us back to the start; telling us what lured him to play guitar, early success and the legacy of his music. We'll also hear acoustic versions of the well-loved tunes, "Ride On Josephine," "Move It On Over," and "Who Do You Love?".
