We first met The Staves with their 2012 album, "Dead & Born & Grown." Their latest album, their 4th studio album, is called "Good Woman." And the story behind the album's title is a powerful story.
Emily was busy with her new child, but Jessica and Camilla took some time away from the rest of their daily duties to talk with me about the making of this record. We talk about making music and the frustrations of lockdown and their desire to get back out and tour and make music again. We also discussed family, and the love they lost when their mom passed. Luckily, they feel they had the most excellent role model to be "good" women. And now, they hope to be good role models for their new niece.
