Gregory Alan Isakov: Singer, Songwriter, Farmer

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, and now calling Colorado home, horticulturist-turned-musician Gregory Alan Isakov has cast an impressive presence on the indie-rock and folk worlds with his five full-length studio albums. We catch up with the prolific singer-songwriter to talk about the challenges of writing music and running a farm during a pandemic.

This October, Isakov is hitting the road for the first time since early 2020 for a limited 14-date co-headline tour with two-time Grammy winner Patty Griffin. “It’s so much fun,” he says. “I just feel so grateful to be able to play music for people.”

Spend “An Evening with Patty Griffin & Gregory Alan Isakov” at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall Friday, October 15th.
