Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Marky Ramone brings his high-energy “Holiday Blitzkrieg” to the Bearsville Theater on December 6th, delivering an intimate dose of the punk power he’s showcased everywhere from CBGB and Max’s Kansas City to massive stages around the world. Reflecting on his wild musical journey—from pioneering heavy rock with Dust, to breaking ground with Richard Hell & the Voidoids, to spending 15 years and 1,700 shows with the Ramones—Marky says the ride still feels surreal. Early lessons in discipline and precision from Dust, the theatrical edge he picked up with Wayne County & The Backstreet Boys, and jumping straight into recording Road to Ruin in ’78 all shaped the powerhouse drummer he is today.
He even shared a glimpse into the legendary chaos of the Phil Spector End of the Century sessions—long nights, countless takes, and Spector being “very Spector”—but insists the final record made it worth the madness. These days, touring with Marky Ramone’s Blitzkrieg keeps him energized, fueled by the passion of fans who keep punk alive.
For Woodstock fans, Marky promises a fast, fierce set packed with Ramones essentials—and maybe a couple of holiday-themed surprises. Catch Marky Ramone’s Holiday Blitzkrieg on December 6th at the Bearsville Theater. Visit MarkyRamone.com for updates and BearsvilleTheater.com for tickets.
