This Saturday, April 26, Irish singer-songwriter Gráinne Hunt will bring her evocative vocals and heartfelt storytelling to Mount Ida Preservation Hall in Troy. The performance, running from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, is part of her U.S. tour supported by Culture Ireland and Martin Guitars.
Known for her rich, emotive voice—described as “like complex coffee”—Hunt’s music delves into personal experiences, evoking pain and longing. Her style has drawn comparisons to Tracy Chapman, Natalie Merchant, and Dolores Keane. She has shared stages with artists like Glen Hansard and U2, and opened for legends such as Gladys Knight and Mary Black.
Joining Hunt is San Diego-based drummer and vocalist Jules Stewart, known for her dynamic performances and collaborations with various artists. The evening will also feature a special guest appearance by Troy’s own Ryan Leddick, whose soulful, rhythmic folk-rock style complements the night’s lineup!
