Each year, WEXT has broadcast the speech known as "I Have a Dream" at 12n and 6pm. Several years ago, we added the "I Have Been to the Mountaintop" speech (his last public speech before being assassinated) after the 6pm airing of the "dream" speech. Throughout the day, we play music from all genres featuring some of the songs that bolstered the Civil Rights movement. This year, MLK Day is January 19th.
