Chris Smither talked with me about his inspiration, and what keeps him going all these years later. We also talked about that trademark foot tapping that you can see and hear on stage, and even hear in the recordings he makes in the studio.
One of my favorite stories he tells is how "All About the Bones" came to be. Chris also talks about how his songs take shape, and get started. He makes it all seem so effortless, but even the legendary Chris Smither sometimes needs a push. And he gets that push from his longtime friend and producer, Dave "Goody" Goodrich. We also talked a bit about the late Billy Conway who drummed for Chris for many years.
