Making Miles for Martin: a Musical Tribute and Benefit in Honor of Martin Szinger

Last month, Local 518 musician Martin Szinger passed away from a sudden and unexpected heart attack. He was just 54 years old. Szinger was a highly creative and accomplished musician and songwriter who played the guitar, saxophone, and was most recently a member of the East Berne Band.

Dan Noonan of Local 518 band Gordon St. was friends with Szinger and played alongside him in East Berne Band. He tells us how much of an inspiration Szinger was to him and the music community. Noonan has spearheaded a benefit in Szinger's name - Making Miles for Martin - featuring performances from Gordon St., East Berne Band, One Wing Duck, Flying Rob & Friends, and more at Wayward Lane Brewing in Schoharie on Sunday, September 29 from 2-6pm.
