Mark O'Connor Brings the Crossing Bridges Tour to Albany
Mark O'Connor is one of the greatest American fiddle players ever. Performing since he was a child, the six-time CMA Musician of the Year returns to The Egg in Albany on March 11 with his Crossing Bridges tour, featuring a guest performance from his wife Maggie O'Connor.
In celebration of 50 years creating music, O'Connor released a 430-page memoir in February detailing his journey from child prodigy to American music legend. Including stories of a dysfunctional family all the way to his time working with some of the biggest names in music like David Grisman and Yo-Yo Ma, O'Connor lays it all out in this new book. Along with his memoir, Mark also released previously unheard recordings and never before seen photos taken on his mothers camera in a companion photo book titled, A Musical Childhood In Pictures.
On this tour Mark will be performing some of his greatest hits, reading excerpts from his memoir, showing off his famous white fiddle, and answering audience questions.
