This is Local 518 Sessions. Thursday nights at 930p, we typically have a Local 518 artist swing by to play songs and talk about their music.
Tonight we take some of the Music for the Holidays WMHT-TV production. 388 choir students from 9 different Capital Region Schools were invited to the studios to record some favorites for the holidays. The results were so much fun that there will be 3 joyous TV programs, for a complete list of broadcast dates and times visit wmht.org/holidays. We will feature highlights from those programs for the 518 Sessions leading up to the holiday.
This second episode features the Troy HS Concert Choir, the Tesago Elementary 4th & 5th grade choruses and the Saratoga HS Choraliers, Music for the Holidays, on WEXT’s 518 Sessions.
We hear: I Remember December and before that What Child is this, performed by the Saratoga HS Choraliers. Before that we heard the Tesago Elementary 4th & 5th grade choruses perform Eight Lights for Hanukkah and Away from the Mistletoe. And we began with Jingle Bells & Carol of the Bells performed by the Troy HS Concert Choir.
Today’s performances were recorded by Justin Metz for Rockwell Pro Recording Service.
