Skylar Erin: New Music, New Chapters
Sometimes the Local 518 music scene introduces you to an artist in the most unexpected ways. We first crossed paths with Skylar Erin through our Averill Park connections, and it didn’t take long to hear why she belongs in the WEXT Local 518 family.
Skylar has been spending time working on new music, developing songs and finding her way forward as an artist. She stopped by WEXT to play a couple of those songs for us acoustically and talk about the work that goes into creating them—and what she’s learning along the way.
There’s also a new chapter coming soon. Skylar is heading back to school to keep working on her college degree, balancing that next step with her continued work as a musician.
It’s always exciting to catch a Local 518 artist somewhere in the middle of the journey—when the songs are still taking shape and there’s plenty more ahead. Skylar Erin is one of those artists worth keeping an ear on, and we’re happy to have gotten to spend some time with her before she heads off to finish the next chapter.
