The story of Sara Milonovich starts on a farm near Amsterdam. She was raised on her family’s working farm and exposed to roots music at a young age thanks to her parents’ record collection and her grandparents’ efforts organizing local bluegrass concerts. Having started on violin at age four, by age nine she was already leading her own band and enjoying a rising regional reputation as a top-flight fiddler. Sara released a live cassette when she was 12.

At 16, Sara dropped out of school and joined legendary upstate Celtic bluegrass outfit the McKrells, recording two albums with the group and touring the U.S. and Ireland. Sara’s band began soon after the release of her solo debut, "Daisycutter."

In 2022 Sara was recognized for her amazing talents and contributions to the local music scene and won Americana Artist of the Year at the The Eddies.
