I sat down with local 518 singer/songwriter, Julia Alsarraf to talk about music, her upcoming shows, and her forthcoming album.
Originally from Houston, Texas Julia has made the 518 her home.
Julia writes music inspired by the experiences and people she’s encountered in her own life and journey. You can hear it in her lyrics. We spoke about this in our interview. There’s a level of rawness in her writing. We as listeners have an intimate and almost voyeuristic view of her life through her music. It’s beautiful and open. A journey of exploration. As raw and as open as she is she is also quite a private person. She spoke about this and the growth she encountered in 2024 and what she’s looking forward to in 2025.
