Amelia Ray is a San Francisco Bay Area–born singer‑songwriter and storyteller. Amelia is known as “The Interpreter.” Her songs span genres—from theatrical soul-rock (“Dream”) to politically charged pieces like “Ana no potable,” and the award‑winning racial history odyssey “Hambone Says." She's touring the U.S. and will bring her dynamic storytelling to Mojo’s Cafe & Gallery in Troy, NY on August 9, along with Local 518 Buggy Jive.
We talked all about how she got her start in music, and about what inspires her to write songs. Plus, we learn all about how she met up with Buggy Jive.
