A modern combination of Jackson Browne and Carole King, Albany folk singer-songwriter Caity Gallagher began playing piano at age 7 and guitar at 16. Her rootsy compositions and lilting vocals showcase intimate lyrics that tell universally relatable stories. Prior to her solo work, Caity was a founding member of Albany's rock/pop band Honey Slider, where she co-wrote and produced several albums.
Using lessons learned from her time with Honey Slider, Gallagher's solo work amplifies her folk sensibilities with melodic, lyrical and emotional expression. Each song that Caity releases aims to capture the meandering paths of the human experience, which is best demonstrated on her latest EP, Something Worth Remembering.
