I'm not gonna lie. I'm a big fan of Della Mae. I got to chat with Kimber and Celia of the band about - Della Mae! Della Mae is a GRAMMY-nominated, all-women string band made up of founder and fiddle player Kimber Ludiker, lead vocalist/guitarist Celia Woodsmith, guitarist Avril Smith, and bassist Vickie Vaughn.

Their mission as a band is to showcase top female musicians, and to improve opportunities for women and girls through advocacy, mentorship, programming, and performance.
They will be Artist in Residence at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival this year. That's a really cool honor. This means, they could land on stage at any time with any other artist playing. Plus, they'll have their own sets, too. But the opportunity to play with their favorite musicians seemed to make Kimber and Celia giddy when we chatted.
