The Cooper's Cave Composers’ Consortium returns to the Strand Theatre at 210 Main St. in Hudson Falls on Nov. 3 at 3 p.m. for its third annual concert of original music, written and performed by Capital Region composers.
The Cooper's Cave Composers’ Consortium was founded in 2022 by a group of Glens Falls-area composers as a means of bringing new, original contemporary music to the greater Glens Falls area and Capital Region, and to foster collaboration between composers at all levels and stages of their respective careers.
Anthime Miller, who founded the show three years ago joined Lucas Garrett, John Benware and myself to talk about the origins, the name, and the event itself.
After the interview, hear an excerpt from a selection performed by John Benware that will be part of the show. (“Violent Delights” IX - Names by Mickie Wadsworth.)
