This Saturday, the Round Lake Auditorium will pulse with rhythm, creativity, and collaboration as the Improv Spaces Music Fest brings together musicians and sound artists from across the Capital Region and beyond. Designed to celebrate spontaneous creation and experimental sound, the all-day festival runs from 10 AM to 10 PM on June 7—offering a unique blend of performance, improvisation, and interactive music-making.
In a recent interview, Alexa Chang, founder of Improv Spaces, and Jessica Bowen, a featured ensemble artist, shared insights into what makes this event unlike any other. “This isn’t your typical music festival,” said Chang. “It’s about process, presence, and play—musicians meeting in the moment and building something honest and unrepeatable.”
Bowen emphasized the communal aspect: “The audience becomes part of the soundscape. Whether you’re on stage or in the seats, you’re invited to listen differently, to engage more deeply.”
With an eclectic lineup, collaborative sets, and hands-on workshops, Improv Spaces Music Fest invites attendees to explore the edge of sound and step into something totally unexpected.
Join the experience—Saturday, June 7 at Round Lake Auditorium.
