Sh*t-Faced Shakespeare at UPH!

Sh*t Faced Shakespeare is bringing its gloriously chaotic take on the Bard to the Universal Preservation Hall (UPH) in Saratoga on January 30, and we caught up with Tyler ahead of the show to find out what audiences can expect.

The concept is simple and wildly effective: one actor performs completely drunk, while the rest of the cast does everything they can to keep a Shakespeare play on track. The result is a fast-moving, unpredictable, laugh-out-loud experience where no two performances are ever the same. Tyler talked with us about the balance between structure and improvisation, the trust among the cast, and why Shakespeare’s work is the perfect playground for this kind of theatrical mayhem.

Hear our interview with Tyler to get a taste of the madness, then see it unfold live when Sh*t Faced Shakespeare takes the stage 730p at UPH on January 30.

At UPH, they're doing Hamlet, but here's a cool thing to check out for the Much Ado About Nothing they did.
