Jaccpot Brings Viral Local Flavor to More Music Less Violence
Jackson Simpson, better known as Jaccpot, is bringing his energetic mix of hip-hop, humor and Capital Region pride to the next More Music Less Violence showcase on Saturday, August 22, at the Altamont Fairgrounds.
Jaccpot has already made some serious noise locally—and not just in the music scene. His viral “Take Me Down to Stewy’s,” created with azel and Grey Mizzy, turned a beloved Upstate tradition into an unlikely rap anthem, racking up thousands of views and getting the artists a meeting with Stewart’s CEO. His other viral favorite, “Mac N Gravy,” adds to a growing catalog that shows off his playful, distinctly local style.
Now Jaccpot joins DJ Hollyw8d for an evening built around music, creativity, community and positive expression. More Music Less Violence has been bringing Capital Region artists together since 2020, creating safe spaces for performers and audiences while giving young artists another avenue to pursue their creativity.
The showcase runs 6–9 p.m. in the Grandstand at the Altamont Fairgrounds.
